Pens Moving Away From Whitney and Moving More Towards Ponikarovsky

According to a source, the Penguins are moving away from trading for Ray Whitney and moving towards trying to acquire Alexei Ponikarovsky from Toronto. I will probably get some more information soon but I expected this to happen because Carolina's price for Whitney seemed a bit too high for the Penguins. However, don't count out Whitney just yet. Some crazy things happen in the rumor world.
UPDATE: 6:36 PM: Dan MacKinnon, the Penguins Director of Player Personnel is attending the Columbus Blue Jackets game to scout some players. This is getting interesting. Stay Tuned!
