Hello Nation, 9 years ago in 2001 this country we live in was attacked, in New York City and Washington DC. It was a day that started out as any normal day, and then around 8:00, it was anything but.
In a matter of seconds, our lives and our country were changed forever. No one knew how many would be without mothers, fathers, sister and brothers, the only thing we knew was that we would never be the same.
It made us stronger, if only for a period, we were united as a nation, city, and family. I'm at a shortage of words (as a writer that sucks) only because it is hard to visualize that September day without choking up, putting it into words is even harder.
As evidence by the latter video, the sports world took a hit as well, but at the same time, it was a way for us all to reunite as a people. It was a way for us to come together and cheer on our team, more importantly, it was a way for us to focus on a happy part of life. The tragedy of 9/11/01 was a shock and hit to all of our hearts and souls, but we all managed to pull through it. Now here on it's 9th Anniversary we must do so again, not just for a few hours, but we must NEVER forget. Never. Ever. Forget.
