The Wheeling Nailers bolstered their blue line today by making a trade with the Alaska Aces for the rights to talented defensemen Nick Tuzzolino in exchange for future considerations.
Tuzzolino, 24, is known for his hard-nosed play, racking up 251 penalty minutes in 131 games the past two seasons with the Aces. However, Tuzzolino also has some high-scoring prowess for a defensemen to go along with hit grit. Last season he notched 9 goals and 22 assists in 70 games.
